Code of Conduct
Anyone participating as a volunteer or requesting services agrees to the community code of conduct.
Respect & Inclusivity
Treat all members, volunteers, and participants respectfully and kindly, regardless of background, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or socioeconomic status.
Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and heard.
Reject discriminatory language, harassment, or any form of exclusionary behavior.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Respect the privacy of all members and participants. Do not share personal information without consent.
Keep confidential discussions about members' employment status, financial situations, or personal challenges.
Ensure that any data collected (such as contact details) is securely stored and only used for organizational purposes.
Professionalism & Ethical Conduct
Engage in honest and transparent communication with all members and stakeholders.
Refrain from conflicts of interest, including using the effort for personal gain or business promotion.
Positively represent the community at all times.
Safe & Supportive Environment
Create a safe space where members feel comfortable sharing experiences and seeking support.
Report any inappropriate behavior, harassment, or violations of this code to the leadership team (i.e. organizing board).
Avoid aggressive, demeaning, or inappropriate behavior in both online and in-person interactions.
